• Mini Guava Cheesecake

Happy New Year, everyone!! I hope 2015 is a good year for you and your friends & family! And to kick off 2015, here is a sweet and easy recipe for you. My husband loves cheesecake, and really, who doesn’t. To reward him for all the hard work these last couple of weeks we’ve spend moving in and setting up our new home, I decided to make him a cheesecake with a Brazilian twist. Ingredients Graham Cracker Crumbs – 2/3 cups Cream Cheese (room temperature)  – 8 Ounces Granulated Sugar – 6 Tablespoons Butter…

  • Apple Pocket Pie

Yes, I still have lots of apples left from our apple picking trip. And when I spotted these cute pie molds from Williams-Sonoma on sale, I couldn’t resist buying and testing them right when i got home. Cut the shapes out of the pie dough Fill shapes with apple pie filling, or even a jam or savory filling Press down to seal and crimp the edges Brush top of pies with egg wash…

  • Guava Soufflé

Valentine’s day is almost around the corner and this recipe is a favorite in my home when I need some delicious and impressive dessert for last minute guests. If you don’t like guava, be creative and use any kind of fruit jam or even chocolate (semisweet chips melted). Makes about 6 small or 4 medium sized ramekins. You’ll need: 1 cup guava paste (melted with 3-4 tablespoons of water on a saucepan)…

Ingredients: For cake: 1/4 cup caramel topping 1 Spice cake mix box (if you find pumpkin cake mix, that’s even better, but it’s pretty hard to find at my local supermarket) 1 Cup Water ⅓ Cup Vegetable Oil 2 Large Eggs 1 can Pumpkin puree For flan: 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 cup milk 4 eggs Directions: Heat oven to 350°F.
