Napa Valley Wineries

You could spend weeks exploring all the wineries of Napa; each one has its own appeal and niche. There are wines that specialize in every variety of grape and cater to every type of visitor, big groups and intimate gatherings, experts and amateurs, people who want full hands on tours or simply open a bottle on a patio and enjoy the view.  Here’s a few that we visited and absolutely loved.

The first stop we made was at the Napa Valley Welcome Center.  This was the best first stop we could have made; one of their advisors, Jeanne, listened to what kind of wine and atmosphere we wanted and gave us so much background on the wineries and tons of great tips.  By the time we left we had a master plan and whole route with all the stops wineries to visit.  Here’s a few of the wonderful places we visited!

V. Sattui

We made a quick stop between wineries at V. Sattui Winery ‘s Deli Marketplace to grab some cheeses, hand carved meats and delicious bread. Jeanne from the Welcome Center told me the tiramisu here was her favorite so I just had to try it, but that was the only tip I had to disagree with her on, because my husband’s tiramisu recipe is hands down the BEST I ever had. Across the street from Sattui, is the always amazing Dean and Deluca, but because we have one here in DC, we decided to get our cheeses and enjoy a lovely picnic grounds at Sattui, which I give two thumbs up for sure.
