We Heart Eco Friendly

After watching Fuel, an amazing documentary, I decided to post some eco friendly products that could make a great gift idea for a host/hostess, family, friends or anybody we love.

Let’s do our part and take care of Mother Earth.  Take your own bag to the grocery store, fill your own water bottle, take your own coffee cup to get filled in Starbucks or even better make your own at home.

1. TOMS shoes –  With every pair sold, TOMS donates a new pair of shoes to a child in need. Comfortable, stylish and socially conscious.

2. Ecotools brushes – The best drugstore brushes! This 5 piece set comes with a kabuki, powder, concealer, and an eye shadow blending brush in a cute hemp pouch. This set is eco-friendly and cruelty-free.

3. Built NY – I love all the Built NY products.  They are super hip and fun.  Bringing a fun neoprene lunch tote reduces waste that would be created from fast-food, you’ll save money, and you’ll eat healthier too.  Perhaps it’s the scuba diver in me, but I love anything neoprene.

4. DCI I’m Not a Paper Cup – Turn your everyday disposable cup into an eco-friendly, reusable mug. It’s dishwasher and microwave safe.  This one was spotted at my local TJMAXX and Home Goods.  Target also sells a similar one.

5.  Wood Colored Pencils – Carved to look like bark-covered twigs and made of natural wood from new growth forests.

6.  Large Floral Shopper Bag by Reisenthel – Reusable and foldable nylon grocery tote.  Just leave it in your purse so you’ll be ready.

7.  Sigg Water Bottles–  No more water bottles PLEASE. Every Sigg bottle is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life, and is backed by a lifetime warranty.  Never leave the house without a reusable water.  Get a good filter on your fridge or faucet, and fill ‘er up.

8.  Soft-Sided Market Tote by Reisenthel – These is our everyday tote.  Great for packing a gourmet picnic, carry groceries and trips.

Watch FUEL for free on Hulu.  Food Inc., King Corn and No Impact Man, you can watch instantly at Netflix.
