      Yes, I still have lots of apples left from our apple picking trip. And when I spotted these cute pie molds from Williams-Sonoma on sale, I couldn’t resist buying and testing them right when i got home.     A couple weeks ago we took our annual trip to a beautiful orchard in Northern Virginia for a fun day of apple picking. This year we chose Hollin Farms. We’ve been to Hollin Farms several times for strawberry picking, but it was our first time there for apples, and it turned out there was a LOT more in season than just apples! The farm is about 45 minutes from Washington DC and goes straight through Virginia wine country. There are several great wineries to stop at for a glass, or just a scenic picnic.     After a long hiatus, I’m back just in time for this delicious Fall recipe. Enjoy! Roasted Butternut Squash Soup Ingredients: 1 medium/large butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cubed 1  onion 2 carrots, peeled and diced or 1 1/2 cup of baby carrots 3 stalks of celery, diced (don’t worry too much about the size, we’ll be blending it all later) 4 peeled cloves of garlic 5-6 sage leaves 3 tbsp of Olive Oil salt and pepper, to taste 4 cups (add a little bit more if needed) of chicken or vegetable stock Directions: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
